Patrick Chang

Chief Investment Officer

Patrick Chang Chian Ping is currently the Chief Investment Officer, directing Private and Preferred Banking advisory across Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. With over thirty years of financial expertise, his career began in Private Banking with Riggs and Co. in London. Over two decades in Southeast Asia, he held pivotal roles at Hong Leong Assurance, CIMB-Principal, and BNP Paribas Asset Management. Most recently, he led Principal AM’s ASEAN teams to top-tier performance, earning the firm's highest peer ratings in 2023.

Teo Soo Foong, CFA

Team Lead, Structured Products

Soo Foong leads the Structured Products team, crafting investment strategy and ideas for structured products and ETFs. She is also responsible for Equity Research specialising in the Financials sector, conducts portfolio reviews and client engagements. Soo Foong has over 15 years of experience in Equity Research and was a sell and buy-side analyst.

Eric Wong Wai Leong

Team Lead, Funds

Eric Wong leads the Fund team in the Chief Investment Office. He is responsible for developing funds investment ideas for clients. He provides bespoke fund solutions through meticulous portfolio reviews and also fosters meaningful client engagements. Eric, who joined CIMB Investment Bank in 2023, has more than 15 years of professional experience spanning corporate finance, investment advisory, equity research, and portfolio management. Prior to joining CIMB, Eric was an Equity Fund Manager covering Asia ex-Japan.

Diana Teo Keet Queen

Team Lead, Equities

Diana Teo leads the Equity team in the Chief Investment Office. She specializes in regional coverage of the HK/China market and covers China internet, Property, and Consumer sectors across Malaysia and Singapore. With over 15 years of experience in Equity Research, she navigates diverse market cycles. She joined CIMB in 2016 and was previously a sell-side analyst and a management consultant at a multinational corporation.

Muhamad Aizuddin, CFA

Team Lead, FX

Aiz is the foreign exchange (FX) specialist in the Chief Investment Office. He provides FX and gold recommendations with a focus on G10 currencies, underpinned by analysis of US policies and macro drivers. Drawing on more than 8 years of experience at Malaysia's central bank across macro strategy, asset allocation, economics and FX, he converts macro views into strategies to enhance portfolio performance and support investment decisions.

Ooi Phee Lip

Team Lead, Fixed Income

Phee Lip leads the Fixed Income in the Chief Investment Office. He is responsible for fixed income strategy and market outlook, covering credit research, bond recommendations, and market updates. He works closely with clients on bond portfolio construction and portfolio reviews. Phee Lip brings over 19 years of experience spanning portfolio management and credit research. He previously served as Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at two fund management companies and beginning his career in finance as an analyst at a Malaysian credit rating agency.

Jason Kuan Ern Chien

Director, Investment Research and Advisory, CIO Office, CIMB Singapore

Jason joined the Chief Investments Office in 2024 and leads its Singapore arm where he provides research and advisory for clients. He joined the bank in 2009 and has over 16 years of experience and has extensive product knowledge. These include public and private markets, structured products as well as multi-asset strategies. Prior to this, he previously served as the Head of Investments and Bancassurance at CIMB Singapore, where he was responsible for the development of the Wealth Management suite of products. Jason is based in Singapore.
